At Pierre Begrand Counselling in Saskatoon, I offer individual counselling for adults, seniors and late teens. My services are tailored to help clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Each session is designed to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with clarity and compassion.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I integrate mind–body approaches, mindfulness, and practical tools that empower you to create lasting change. I also offer both in-person sessions in Saskatoon and secure online counselling for clients across Saskatchewan and Canada, giving you flexibility and accessibility.

Yes — I offer secure virtual counselling sessions to clients all across Canada. This means you can connect with me from the comfort of your own home, whether you live in Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, or beyond.
Your sessions are billed the same way as in-person counselling, and insurance coverage applies no matter which province or territory you live in (as long as your plan covers sessions with a Registered Professional Counsellor).
I also work with many Canadians living abroad who want to continue their mental health care with a Canadian counsellor. If you’re living outside the country, you can still access virtual sessions with me from wherever you are in the world.

Majority of extended health and employee benefit plans do cover counselling with a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC). Each plan is different, so I encourage you to check directly with your provider to confirm your coverage.
Coverage is not limited to Saskatchewan — clients from any province or territory in Canada can typically submit receipts for reimbursement, provided their plan includes Registered Professional Counsellors.
At this time, I do not offer direct billing. Most clients pay at the time of their session and then submit their receipt for coverage. I provide detailed receipts that include my credentials so you can easily submit them to providers like Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Great-West Life, Green Shield, and many more.

I primarily work with adults, seniors, and teens aged 16 and older who are ready to make positive changes in their lives. Many of my clients are navigating stress, anxiety, or depression, working through trauma or grief, or feeling stuck in relationships or life transitions.
My client base is typically an even 50/50 split between men and women, which reflects the comfort and trust I provide for people of all genders and ages. Whether you’re a teenager stepping into adulthood, a working professional, or a senior seeking extra support, you’ll find a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space here.
I also work with clients in Saskatoon, online across Canada, and Canadians living abroad, making counselling accessible no matter your stage of life or location.

Counselling is a space to understand yourself more deeply, process what’s weighing on you, and learn tools to move forward with greater clarity. My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, or stuck in old patterns — and through our work, they begin to feel lighter, more confident, and more in control of their lives.
Together, we’ll identify the challenges you’re facing, explore where they come from, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. Counselling isn’t just about talking — it’s about building self-awareness, healing at your own pace, and learning tools you can carry with you for life.
-
Your first session is about creating a safe, supportive space where you can share what’s been going on for you. I’ll ask a few questions to get to know your story and what you’d like to work on, but there’s no pressure — you set the pace.
Many clients say they feel a sense of relief after their very first session because they finally have a place to talk openly without judgment. You’ll leave with a better understanding of how we can work together and a clear sense of the next steps.

A trauma-informed approach means I recognize that past experiences — whether big or small — can shape how you feel, think, and act today. In our work together, I place a strong emphasis on safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
This approach ensures that you won’t be pushed to talk about anything before you’re ready. Instead, we work gently, helping your nervous system find stability while creating space for healing at a pace that feels safe for you.

My approach is holistic, practical, and client-centered. I believe counselling should not only give you a safe space to share but also provide you with practical tools and logical frameworks that help your mind clearly understand your situation. When you can make sense of your presenting issues, you feel more empowered to work through them.
I draw from a blend of approaches — cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, somatic awareness, and parts work — always through a trauma-informed lens. Together, we’ll look at both your challenges and your strengths, so you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and learn how to move forward with clarity and confidence.

I am a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association and have over nine years of professional counselling experience. My approach is continually refined through ongoing training, mentorship, and personal growth to ensure my work remains current, effective, and deeply human.
What sets me apart as a counsellor is that I’ve personally walked the path of healing and transformation. Having experienced the profound impact of counselling in my own life, I bring genuine empathy, authenticity, and lived understanding into every session. I completed my professional studies in Vancouver, BC, where I trained in some of the most advanced therapeutic modalities available. I have also completed a 235-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Transcendental Meditation training, which together enrich my ability to integrate mind, body, and emotional awareness into the counselling process.

Yes — I offer a free 20-minute discovery call, is the name I use. This is a chance for you to ask questions, share a bit about what you’re looking for, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
